At the foundation of our campaign to stop the creation of an LID for the purpose of forcing citizens to finance a poorly conceived roadway design are the basic liberties of the American heritage.

These liberties provide for the right to “life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness” and through those guarantees, the right to own and control property.

One of our goals is to inform as many people as we can about the abusive trend in government to deny property owners all of the rights guaranteed to them by our constitution.

Many people are not aware of the damage being done to their neighbors behind a smoke screen of health and welfare or environmental concerns. I urge you to join us and attend one of our meetings as we work with other groups to stop the government’s continued taking of personal property.

You may not think it matters to you if someone loses a portion of their hard earned land to a bureaucratic expansion of regulations. But, we urge you to think about what is happening and view it through the eyes of a man who lost his freedom and found himself interned by the Nazis during WWII.

"First they came…" is a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group.
